Finishing line!

On the 2nd day of the final session of the CreativeLab training course, the project manager, Anta Tsaira presented the Call: Entrepreneurial capacity building for young migrants and then the project coordinator of JKPeV, Myrto-Helena Pertsinidi, presented the Key Action 2: Strategic Partnership – Cooperation and Innovation for Good Practices.

After the coffee break, the trainer of the 2nd session of CreativeLab, Dimitra Zervaki, presented the topic of the follow-up project, “Social Entrepreneurship”.

After the lunch break, giving some time to the participants to visit the historic centre of Dresden, we continued with the Project Charter Canvas, developed by the trainer & Business Coach Dimitra Zervaki, and we altogether worked on the project’s mission & purpose, stakeholders, the project management team, the scope, the work breakdown structure, the intellectual outputs, the deliverables, the success criteria and the timeframe of the project. It was a very fruitful meeting during which all representatives of the partners involved participated actively and contributed to the ideas and the charter canvas of the follow-up project. We hope to work soon together on our follow-up project and apply next year! Thank you all for your participation and contribution! We had a great time! Evaluation of the previous sessions and summarising the learning outcomes!

The last session of the CreativeLab training course.

 

On the 14th of October, all partner organisations and people involved presented shortly their organisations and themselves respectively. Then, we revised the project, talked about the learning outcomes of the two training sessions and evaluated them and at the end of the day.

 

 

We did a brainstorming about social entrepreneurship based on the needs of each partner organisation’s local community, which gave us thought for food to continue our work today!

 

STUDY VISIT XII: Bientôt

The last study-visit was held at Bientôt wine where Maria Samou who is a young entrepreneur and has recently opened her wine shop introduced us to the world of wine and to wine tasting while Dimitra Divani offered us some delicious cheese of her family business Divanis Cheese.

 

It was a yummy experience being completed by our last dinner at the tavern ”Το Χρυσόψαρο σε άλλη γυάλα” with live greek music and dance!

 

SELF-BRANDING QUESTIONNAIRE AND “TWO-PAGES ACTION PLAN”

In the afternoon of the last day of the CreativeLab training course, Dimitra Zervaki presented examples of well established sustainable brands and explained how they use the brand story. A group discussion followed and the participants had time to reflect and exchange their viewpoints and ideas about the topic.

The Google’s concept of “Micro-moments” and the model “Pitch like a Mastic Tree” were presented by Dimitra Zervaki who also shared best practices in the field of pitching ideas successfully in front of investors or/and various audiences with the group.


An activity followed where all participants worked in pairs and interviewed their partner based on a provided Self-Branding questionnaire “Develop your personal and professional brand”. Then, each participant was asked to pitch his/her partner’s brand story based on the Self-Branding questionnaire.
Later on, the “two-page Action Plan” was introduced that helps people to develop their professional and personal network effectively.


Stefano Modestini presented very shortly his project “Branding EU – Make your mark”, a Strategic Partnership project Key Action 2 of the Erasmus+ programme.

At the end of the training course some basic info about the Erasmus+ programme, and Key Action 1: Mobility of Youth Workers was introduced by the project coordinator Myrto-Helena Pertsinidi . The Recognition and Youthpass was also presented and all participants were awarded with Youthpasses.

LAST (day) BUT NOT LEAST!

Ιn the morning of the last day of the CreativeLab training course, Giorgos Mihalis Goniadis presented his project Papigion and shared with the group his experience about how an idea can become a project and talked about sustainability, innovation and differentiation. A game followed where all participants were divided into 3 groups based on the below entrepreneurial interests:
1) Fashion
2) Art
3) Technology


The groups had to transform their idea into a viable business and pitch in front of the 3 judges: Dimitra Zervaki, Olympia Datsi and Myrele Per. The judges attributed points according to i) the Viability of the business to be successful, ii) Innovative nature of the business, iii) Product or Service originality in the market and iv) the Sustainability Business Model. Each group pitched their business idea and finally he Technology group was the winner!

IT’S A ”BRAND” NEW DAY!

After the Creativity Game, Dimitra Zervaki presented the activity “One-page Brand Strategy Canvas” and then asked all participants to work in teams and create their own “One-page Brand Strategy Canvas”.

After the activity, the teams presented their results; each team pitched its idea/project based on the “One-page Brand Strategy Canvas” that had been already developed and then all participants voted. The winning team got as a reward, business coaching sessions by the trainer, for developing their Brand Strategy.


After lunch, a presentation and a group discussion regarding the terms “Brand, Brand Identity, Branding and Marketing” were held and later on, an activity defining the term “Brand Story” by working in groups on Apple’s case took place.


In the evening, the participants worked in groups developing two brand stories based on the models “The Customer is the Hero” and “Get your Business Funded”. After one hour, all groups presented and pitched their brand stories.

SHARE YOUR CREATIVITY AND GET DISCOVERED!

 

In the morning of the 5th day of the CreativeLab training course, after an energizer, the Creativity Game “Show your Work – 10 ways to share your Creativity and get discovered” was introduced based on Austin Kleon’s book and developed by Olympia Datsi and Vivian Doumpa. Olympia Datsi presented the game and its goals and gave instructions and tips. 4 teams of 5 to 6 people each shared their creativity and business ideas in a fun way!

STUDY VISITS XI: organised by HANDPEAK

In the evening of the 4th day of the Handpeak.

The Group A was guided by Spyros Tsafaras and visited the Art2wear (Rachel Andreadou/jewels), Nancy Rompa (Shoe Designer), Bordelau (Yannis Gounarides/Design Jewels – Space Project), and Elektronio (Anna Clioura/Electric Bicycles design).

The group B was guided by Panos Remoundos, co-founder of Handpeak and visited MAKE Creative Spaces (Christos Kyrou, Dimos Vavatsis – Co-working space), Eleni Hasioti (Fashion designer), Nitra Gallery (Aliki Tsirliagou), Pop-Up & Paper Stories (Francois Smelts – popup paper design)

Both groups ended up at STAMP Festival. A guided tour at the creative spaces of the Valaoritou area by the founders of the STAMP Festival took place, having the opportunity to meet the creatives of the area!

VALUE PROPOSITION, POSITIONING STATEMENT & BRAND STRATEGY CANVAS

On the 4th day of the CreativeLab training course, after the warm-up activity, there was a presentation about the FEAST Thessaloniki initiative and of the crowdfunding practice for funding projects/ideas/ventures by Argyro Barata who is the founder of the FEAST Thessaloniki.

Later on, we continued with Dimitra Zervaki and discussed examples of real cases of good and bad Value Propositions as well as of winning statements of “Why-How-What”. A Presentation about the power of a purpose-driven strategy over marketing spin was held and a Designation of the difference between a Value Proposition and a Positioning Statement using the example of “Evernote” was mentioned and discussed.

Afterwards, we worked in teams filling out the “One-page Brand Strategy Canvas” using as case “Apple” company and discussing the results of the activity and then we could work either in bigger teams or on in couples working on the “One-page Brand Strategy Canvas” for our projects. In the afternoon, after playing a fun warm-up game, Paraskevi Tarani did a presentation about “Cities and human capital: a win-win situation” as an introduction to the study-visits in creative and co-working spaces that took place at 18:00.

STUDY VISIT X: DIVANI & POINT BLANK at THE CARAVAN B&B

In the afternoon of the 3rd day of the CreativeLab training course, the first study-visit took place at The Caravan B&B Thessaloniki where the founder of the AgroDesign Cluster , Panos Remoundos presented the Creative Couples: Dimitra Divani responsible for the marketing of her family business Divanis Cheese that produces traditional cheese products and Sotiris Gkekas who is a senior designer of the company POINT BLANK that designs digital products, websites and apps specialized in UX and UI design. The cooperation between Divanis Cheese and POINT BLANK was explained and described and then there was time for Q&A.
