The CreativeLab training course brought together 40 creative and social entrepreneurs, artists, art educators, youth workers, trainers, project and cultural managers from Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia and Spain to exchange experiences and best practices in the field of Cultural Creative Industries, Creative & Social Economy and Entrepreneurship. Along the way the participants engaged with a series of tools, exercises, assignments and challenges that helped them develop their skills and ideas. The participants practiced a range of inter-personal and practical entrepreneurial skills.
Through a series of workshops, the participants learned how to focus, create a vision, structure their idea, cooperate with professionals from different disciplines, create a business plan, develop a marketing and branding strategy, present their idea and business plan, build different types of networks, search for funding opportunities and sustain their business. The course included sessions on idea generation, innovation, trend forecasting, crowdfunding, presentation and creating an inspired sales pitch.
The training course consisted of 3 sessions: The first session took place from 29 March to 6 April 2016 in Dresden and Berlin and included the following topics: Competence matching, Knowledge Matrix, Back casting, Stakeholder mapping, Project planning, Value Proposition Design, Business Model Canvas, Pitching, Sustainability and EU Funding Programmes (Erasmus+ Programme). Moreover, study-visits to co-working spaces, creative, green and social enterprises, collectives and cooperative urban development initiatives were held.
The second session took place from 24 June to 1 July 2016 in Thessaloniki, Greece and included the following topics: Idea Management Framework: Idea Development,
Idea Enchainment, Idea Implementation, Idea Pitching, Applied Project Management, Development of Project Charter Canvas, Branding & Marketing Strategy, The “Why-How-What” approach in creating a winning branding strategy, Business Model Canvas & Business Plan, Brand story, Idea Pitching, Self-Branding, Networking. Study-visits to creative enterprises, studios, ateliers and presentations about Crowdfunding, Sustainability and Creative Placemaking and Urban Policies for Social Participation & Creative Districts, Cities and Human Capital were held.
The third session took place from 13 to 16 October 2016 which included an evaluation of the two sessions, an assessment of the training course’s learning outcomes and a preparation of the follow-up project focused on social economy and social entrepreneurship.
